Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin

Mícheál ‘Moley’ Ó Súilleabháin is a renowned singer, poet, and speaker from Limerick, Ireland. Mícheál is from a family steeped in Irish traditional music and academia, and gravitated to performance early. He studied music at University College Cork and later earned a master's in Ethnomusicology at Irish World Academy of Music and Dance before becoming a freelance music educator with a specialization in rap and human beatboxing. Beginning in his early 20s, Mícheál apprenticed himself to the repertoire of his mother, Rev. Nóirín. They created an a capella trio, together with his brother Owen, and perform across Europe and America. 

Mícheál has shared stages and been invited to work with Russell Crowe, Alan Doyle, Samantha Barks, Nigel Kennedy, The Chieftains, Steven Spielberg, Bobby McFerrin, Scott Grimes, Sting, Rhiannon Giddens, the Buffalo Philharmonic Quartet, Bad Robert Productions, Kripalu, The Art of Living, Sounds True, Centre for Spiritual Living, Boston College, and more.
